Rodeo Lines vs. Taughtlines

One of the major points of confusion surrounding freestyle slacklines has been the popularity of slacklines that are actually strung quite taught. A freestyle slackline is simply made with a piece of 1" nylon webbing. "Taught-lines" are sold by companies like Gibbon. Freestyle slacklines can be made very cheaply from 1" nylon webbing purchased anywhere, with no gear required. Tie a loop in one end then tie a "slackline special" knot to adjust height. Basically an overhand knot on a bite.

Boom. Simple. Ride.
